The NTC Annual Club Tournament has been a tradition for 30+ years!  

These unprecedented times have brought these changes: 

• An entrance fee, half of which NTC will donate to the Northern Illinois Food Bank, is $40 for your first division, $20 for each additional division.  
• An extremely flexible, summer ladder format
• In lieu of trophies players will receive the joy of helping others 
• Non-members are welcome - let’s give a boost to the food bank!
• Participants must be 18 and older
• Matches can be played anywhere courts are open.  We are hoping our indoor courts open soon, but we want to get this play started immediately!

Divisions 

Tennis – Men - Singles & Doubles 
Tennis – Women - Singles & Doubles
Tennis - Mixed Doubles
Pickleball - Singles & Doubles
     
All doubles are fixed partner, no subbing allowed.
 
Tourney Format

Participants in each division will be placed in order by their ranking.  People can be added at any time with, for example, the 2nd 4.0 singles player to register being placed below the 1st 4.0 singles player.  Once placed on the ladder your rating is irrelevant. 

A player/partnership can challenge up 3 positions.  If the challenger wins the challenger is moved in the spot above the challenged player.  Each player/partnership schedules their own matches.  The challenger provides a fresh can of balls for the match.

Once a match is completed the winner emails the results to info@napervilletennis.com  and cc’s the opponent.  Please email results regardless of who wins.

If a challenged player is not able to play within a ten day period, because of work or whatever, an automatic forfeit occurs.  Be gracious about giving up the spot, one only goes down a space.

The ladder participants will be shown on our website.

Match Format

• 2 out of 3 sets regular scoring. 12 point tiebreak (first one to 7 by 2) at 6-6.
• 2 sets regular scoring.  If split sets play a 10 point match tiebreak (first one to 10 by 2).

Decide before the match begins how to handle 1) if time runs out 2) impending darkness or 3) the threat of rain.  Possible options include:

• If player A wins the first set and is leading the second set or the set is tied player A wins the match.
• If player A wins the first set and player B is winning the second set play a 12 point tiebreak to determine the winner of the match.                              
• If agreed upon both players can return within 5 days to complete the match.
